Newbie and TTC

Hello All!

                I?m new to posting on The Bump but have been lurking for some time and am excited to get to know some of y?all here on the message boards. J

                DH and I just started TTC last month (Nov. 2011). I?ve been using the TCOYF software program to plot when AF has made her appearance each month. Unfortunately my monthly visits from AF have never been consistent even since I was a teenager (currently 31 y.o.) I?ve had cycles as short as 32 days and some as long as 54 days. I wasn?t completely surprised when AF made her appearance after our first attempt to TTC since I was only going off what the TCOYF software was telling me to be my estimated date of ovulation. This past month I decided not to mess around. I went out and bought the CBEFM as well as the CBE OPK. I?ve also been checking my CM. Based on the results from both the FM and OPK I ovulated on Dec. 19^th which puts me today at 14 DPO. The TCOYF software says today is my forecasted date for AF but still no show.  I took a HPT this morning that came back as a BFN but I?m not too concerned.  I know the odds each month are about 20% so it?s just a waiting game at this point (easier said than done I am learning).

                Thanks in advance for anyone who reads my post(s). It?s so nice to have a place to discuss and learn more about TTC and pregnancy. I?d love to chat with my mom or even some girlfriends but DH and I have agreed to keep our efforts to TTC on the DL so we can surprise everyone when the time comes.
