My DD has had reddish color everytime we changed her diaper. We applied Desitin everytime we changed her diaper and the reddish color went away. Now my DD has chaffed skin and the reddish color is still there. I feel helpless as a mother that the diaper rash won't subside. We were switched from Enfamil Enfacare 22 cal to Enfamil Gentlease the week of December 12th. We have not changed anything else besides her formula.
Any ideas on how to get the diaper rash under control???
Thanks!
Re: Diaper Rash
my DS had a really bad diaper rash in the NICU. They told us to get rid of it we had to change him frequently so he didn't sit in poop/pee. When wiping, don't really wipe the area but do more of a blotting. That way you won't cause more irritation. Then load it with tons of cream like desitin.
Hope she feels better!
My boys are still in the NICU and both have diaper rashes for which they use Zinc Oxide. If it doesn't go away maybe it's worth mentioning at your next pedi appt?
