God bless all of you moms on here (kafunder especially and any other twin moms on here). i don't have much hands on experience with babies and we went from no kids in the house to having our friends with their twins stay with us for a few days.
WOW. they are fantastic parents but OMG i am exhausted and i was just "helping"
not really in the thick of it (i am certainly not momma when it comes to certain things). the sheer amout of stuff and length of time it takes to do things was astounding. i have no idea how any of you do this, especially those of you who work full time on top of it. so kudos to all of you!
Re: four days with 10 month old twins
Hahaha! Thanks! It is exhausting to care for our twins, work full time, etc., but I think sometimes it's even more tiring to care for someone else's kids b/c you don't know their habits, routines, etc.
You can let your friends know that in a few months, their lives will get even easier (although 10 months was a pretty awesome age). Mine are 16 months old, and they love to play together/near each other and can occupy themselves together. Right now, I'm listening to them both "reading" a book together in the living room.
I think parents of twins should get their own special place in heaven. And single parents or parents whose spouses are deployed. I have my hands full with three kids, but I tip my hat to folks who I think have to way harder than me!
Ditto to what Artslvr said. I only have one kiddo and am constantly amazed at how our lives has changed.
It does get easier - although the chasing after them seems to be a bit more of a challenge as they get older!
