Skip Hop PRONTO - neat!

I was out shopping with a friend today - she has an older baby and while I had a humongous diaper bag she had a Skip Hop Pronto. I loved it and want to get it for later on. Is there a downside I don't know about? My friend said it was great. She had some other baby stuff in her purse too.

We got one for my husband's diaper bag . . . I know, he's crazy. He is a messanger bag kind of guy.  Anyway, I love it and so does he.  I plan on using it when my daughter gets older and if I just need to go out for a bit but don't want to take my diaper bag.

The pronto is cool. I've bought it as a baby gift for others before. It isn't the same as a diaper bag (no places for snacks, bottles, nursing cover, extra outfits, sippy cups, and all the stuff kids use in the first year), so that is the downside of the pronto versus a bigger bag. The pronto is basically a changing pad with a couple of pockets for wipes and diaper changing items. It is very useful if all you need to do is change a diaper.

A lot of moms have one that they clip to the stroller or slide down into their purse or diaper bag in case they need to run the restroom or changing area for a quick diaper change. I still don't think it could be used instead of a diaper bag, though, unless you are going to be without a lot of items my 18 month old always uses (snack trap, sippy cup, tissues, etc.). I usually pack a big diaper bag to leave in the car and grab a few things I need out of it to keep in my stroller or purse.

I have something similar-the ju ju be ready and love it!  it is so nice not to have to lug around a diaper bag

If you can't find a diaper bag you like and plan on using another purse or bag as your diaper bag, it's a great way to have the changing pad and such to throw in the purse to "make" it a diaper bag.

I picked one up to have a changing pad in our bedroom during those early months that LO will be sleeping in our room, and I also plan on using it for walks around the neighborhood and more when the baby gets older.
