So I got the pan at Kohls..it came in a pink box, did yours?
I only ask because I did the 4 cups of batter in the bottom part, and the remainder for the top of the cup cake. The bottom part came out huge and the top small. I had to trim the bottom to get it to look like a cup cake.
Did this happen for you? I had wanted to make a test one before I handed it over to my mom for Whitneys smash cake.
I pretty much just followed the recipe on the back of 1 cake mix, the pudding, milk and eggs, etc..
Re: MrsLynnyD- giant cup cake
Mine is made by Wilton - it didn't come in a box but had the cardboard wrapping around it like ribbon on a gift box.
I didn't see anywhere about how much to put in each side so I eyeballed it and tried to make it so it looked even. I think my top started to burn some because the top is smaller and cooked faster. Next time I'll make sure there is more batter height-wise in the top than in the bottom. Also, someone on here suggested cooking it at 25 degrees less than what the box calls for.
I made it according to the cake box instructions and didn't really pay much mind to the timer - just kept setting my timer for 10 mintues, checking and then another 10 until it was done. I have no idea how long it cooked for.
I also had to trim it so that it was level.
I will say that I used an entire can of icing on the top (just a small amount in the middle to hold it together). I think that makes the top look bigger and like a cupcake.
I want to see pics.
