Then the past couple of days between getting her 12 month shots and teething like crazy DD's poor little bottom is on fire. She has been having between 6-8 poopy(diarrhea) diapers a day and even thought we change them immediately she is still super red.
She had an hour of nakey time this morning so hopefully that gave her a little bit of relief. The worst part is cleaning her, the wipes seem to really be stinging her. I think I will switch to using just water today and see if that helps.
She is eating and drinking fine and we started giving her some pedilite just to make sure she isn't getting dehydrated.

She has been doing much better today. The diarrhea has stopped so that has given her bum a break.
We have one of those rubber ended shower heads that you can attach to the tub faucet (we use it to wash the dogs) so we have been using that to spray off her bum and then letting her air dry.
Hopefully we see even more improvement tomorrow!
You could try gauze also if cotton balls are too small. I think the nekkid time, letting the air dry her and time itself are what will heal her. Also, someone also mentioned blotting the bum with cotton cloth...make sure you do not rub...if you have open areas, put a little neosporin on it. We use coconut oil and neosporin for our lil girl, and it works most of the time....
