where is my best deal on shoes for the twins?

Re: where is my best deal on shoes for the twins?

  • I found cute shoes in the Stride Rite outlet for $14 each.

  • So far I've had great luck finding like new, brand name shoes at local consignment stores. Especially prior to size 5/6, when most kids aren't walking well enough to really be outside, beating up their shoes. Other than that, I am signed up with Stride Rite and See Kai Run, and will buy when they offer a BOGO deal.

  • I would check good will or a consignment.  I never shop at those but..I just donated really good $50 stride rite walkers that my kids grew out of super fast.  I was sad to get rid of them, but hopefully someone will get a super deal on good shoes.  Maybe someone did the same in your town.

  • We usually just go to Stride Rite when they have the BOGO sale.  Used shoes is one thing I wont buy since the insoles conform to your child's foot... so we always get them new shoes.
  • I love shoes and I like the girls to have many to chose from but I don't want to pay over $20 for a pair.  We have bought a ton at Target for about $12-$14 per pair.  Recently they discovered squeeky shoes and our favorite are itzy bitsy brand (the owners have twins) and I have found some great deals on them on zulily.com and totsy.com

  • I like SR outlet and also 6pm.com. However,i don't buy my kids tons of shoes,i would rather buy a few pairs of shoes that are maybe a little more expensive, I have never understood why it is ok to spend a bunch of $ of outfits the LO will wear once every two weeks or less (like holidays, etc ) but not to spend any $ on shoes they wear 5 times a week for months. (i had to laugh when a coworker balked at a pair of sneakers i was buying for $32 for dd that she wore practically every single day for like 3-4 months but had just bought her daughter a $150 communion dress to wear for half a day...everyone is different!) So if they are a good shoe, fit well and will wear well and hold up to playing outdoors, they are worth the $ IMO. That said, my dd doesn't have any really expensive shoes either and I got both their snow boots at target bc I couldn't really find any online(zappos, 6pm...) for under $50 which shocked me...my other target shoes have not held up or fit well at all buti know a lot of ppl do get shoes there. When they are older and are asking for more shoes I may change my tune of course :)
