This time last year, my husband and I were ringing in the New Year with our son in the NICU. I remember feeling so emotional and so overwhelmed. Now, a year later my little 34 weeker is thriving! He's in the 60th percentile and is almost walking! I just want you to remember that your little ones WILL be home with you before you know it. And they WILL get stronger and stronger. And I can honestly say that I am a much stronger person today after going through what we went through. God bless you and your little ones in this new year.
Re: This time last year...
This is so great to hear, especially after a difficult night in the NICU. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, just have to keep reminding myself.
Happy New Year to you and your LO.
So happy to hear he is doing so well! This time last year I was going through fertility treatments trying to get pregnant and now I have two beautiful babies. Despite all the crap we have been through with them being in the NICU, I feel very lucky.
Happy New Year!!!
So glad he is doing well!
My "preemie" is now 60lbs, 48inches tall an in 3rd grade. I remember carrying him around like a football... he came home at 4lbs 9oz and soo tiny.
When my second was due and I was going through the old baby clothes I pulled out his preemie outfits. We all had a good laugh since they were smaller than his arm.
Even after almost 9 years, the birth and NICU are still fresh in my mind.
aw.
I remember spending new years in the hospital too, Andrew was a day old. ugh! They've all come so far!
