(Help) - 14 month old throwing up w/ no fever

She took a really long nap, but when I got her she had thrown up a couple of times. She then came downstairs, drank a little water, but then threw up again.

This is her first time throwing up like this, any help or good resources?

Should she eat? Drink?

My dd had this a few weeks ago she threw up everything she ate no fever she was over all pretty happy.  Took her to doc they told me no milk give water or pedialite so she is not dehydrated.  I only gave her jello white bread and crackers for the next day.  It was a 24 hour thing for her and was gone after that.  Not fun though.

Both DSs just had this.  I would stick to water, pedialyte or white grape juice and the BRAT diet.  For DS1, he was back to normal in 2-3 days.  DS2 took about a week, but he's only 5 months old.

I am late, but do you have any G2 gatorade?  That can be subbed in for pedialyte.  Water is not recommended, she needs electrolytes.  I have actually been told water can make things worse by both our pedi and an ER doc.

Hope your LO feels better soon!

I would find a Walgreeens, CVS, etc that is still open tonight to keep her hydrated. We went through this about two months ago...flu like symptoms but no fever.

Could be stomach bug/rotovirus.  I have read that water can make it worse so to wait a little while and then just offer a sip at a time.  I would just play the eating and drinking by ear.  However, after the throwing up seems to be done - slowly introduce liquids and get her drinking.  Pedi recommends Pedialyte, Gatorade, or any juice besides apple.
