That's what my brother and SIL are naming their son.

I like it.  I used to have a friend named Braxton, and we all called him Brax.  I'm not sure I would name my child after a medical term, but that's not what I think of when I hear Braxton.

I know a few under the age of 4. I can't get over thinking of the contractions...and I still wonder what both sets of parents were thinking.

One is my cousin's son...and he is a total darling. Love him to bits. We all call him Braxy as nn. But the name still makes me cringe a bit.

I used to be a civil war buff and this name always reminds me of the Confederate General with the same fn. Can't get pass that and the slave ownership.

Yikes, I didn't even think of that association!  Yet another reason this name is horrible.
