I got the Mint from BBB.  It does a pretty good job actually.  It's not for deep cleaning (stuff still around the edges/corners) but overall my floors are clean.  I'm going to try the mop setting tonight and see how it does.

Do you have to have a bare floor? What happens if it run into a coffe table, or a toy, or a shoe?

It does good with my dog, however, I have a short haired, not very sheddy dog (greyhound).  With longer haired dogs that shed, it may not do as well.

90% of my 1st floor is hardwood.  I just set it up and then you can block it off with chairs and what not.  It has a sensor on the front and will go up to the cabinets, table, chairs - lightly bump it and then turn and go the opposite way.

Mine has a GPS in it so it maps the room and knows where's its been and where it still needs to go.
