Fever

So we've now come back from out second visit to the doctor after a grueling night of no sleep and a high fever. Something is obviously not right. He's super fussy, and he won't sleep. And the fever means he's fighting something, right?

But they can't find anything wrong. Ears are clear - throat is clear. Nothing. Can just a cold give 102+ fevers? What could we all be missing?

Re: Fever

  • My little guy just had this happen.  The only thing the doc noticed was a little redness in the back of his throat.  Luckily my babe got better shortly after that otherwise our doctor said we would have to have him tested for a bladder infection.  A bladder infection can't be seen and could be the cause of a fever.  Hope your babe gets better soon!

  • I just posted this about a fever a few days ago. We reached 103 and I honestly thought it was teeth as two finally cut through together last week. Finally after 3 days I went to the doctor (an on call dr I didn't like much) said he couldn't find anything and off we went. Last night was the WORST night inconsolable crying ear pulling, fussing you name it.. I went to to a different dr first thing this morning and confirmed her inner ear was red so we have antibiotics.. still fussing and crying, wants to lay on my chest to sleep ugh I am exhausted and totally sleep deprived, I completely know what you are going through. Tylenol has got us through the week, I think we may need it along with antibiotics tonight...

The fever could be teeth but I would also agree with OP with bladder/urine infection. That would of been the next question for me if fever didn't subside and/or fussing continued.

    I feel for ya!
