I had some pretty bad spotting this past week. At the u/s they couldn't find a clear reason. I started thinking that maybe it was from throwing up so much, so often, so violently... But the NP was in and out so fast that I didn't get to ask. I think its very possible.
Oh Noah. I am so sorry the phenergan isn't working. Did you get super m/s with Noah too? I don't have experience with this...but I imagine that if you are doing some power heaving you are putting some pressure on that region ( I do have experience with some super m/s!)...and I bet it could stir up some old blood and push it out. I wouldn't worry too much considering it is brown and it doesn't sound like you are cramping. Do you think you need to get some IV fluids again? I feel so bad Noah...it is such a miserable feeling. Hang in there my friend.

With Noah I had 0 symptoms. With the last two it was just nausea from the Progesterone. I have some water and plain, dry, Cheerios in me right now. Hoping it stays. I have been cramping since Thurs night.

How bad is it? It seems likely that it could cause some spotting because all the squeezing going on, especially if you are dry heaving.
I don't have a good answer for you though my friend. Are you able to keep water down? My only advice would be to drink up if you can and I will pray that it goes away. If you haven't been able to, then you might need to go get fluids again.

My SIL had violent M/S her entire pregnancy and spotted/bled the whole time, too. I am not sure if they ever determined that the two were related. She was eventually put on bed rest around her 5th-6th month and now has a happy, healthy 3 month old
I'll be thinking about you and hope you are feeling better soon!!!!

Sending lots of prayers, Noah. Please go to the ER. I know its probably the last place you want to be today, but you need to get checked. More prayers...
Yes, throwing up can cause spotting and bleeding like you described. I have a friend who had terrible morning sickness and the throwing up would burst blood vessels on her cervix and cause her to bleed (not just spot). I have heard of similar stories as well (not just hers).
Big hugs. I hope you feel better soon.

Completely agree. I was told this when I was pregnant with DD1 since the throwing up was not so fun and nothing really helped but pressure points.
Many T&Ps coming your way.

I'm catching up with what is going on with you, so I may've missed an update in another thread...but I wanted to chime in and say that it probably could cause spotting.
I tossed my cookies during delivery and the doctors said it was actually probably helping the baby to get out. While that wouldn't come into play early on in a pregnancy, it makes me think that the muscle contractions needed to puke could mess with a sensitive cervix. (FWIW, I had a sensitive cervix during my pregnancy with DS and everything from BM, to vag u/s, to intercourse caused spotting. I have no doubt if I'd yakked then that it would as well.)
