Reflux meds

My DS doc put on reflux medication called Omeprazole. Tonight was are first dose. He cried and screamed and hated it. He ended up puking everywhere. We had pharmacy add flavor to it and everything. Any advice on how to get DS to take it without crying and puking. I feel so aweful. Poor little man.

Do you think I could do that with a sippy cup? He is no longer on the bottle. That is really good idea. Just not sure if I can with his cups since they do not drip like a bottle. Thanks for the advice.

We've had success by sticking the syringe pretty far into her mouth and squirting in the meds -- then really quickly sticking a pacifier in her mouth (if he takes one). The sucking makes her swallow everything. Good luck, it's terrible that it tastes so bad!

I wouldn't do a sippy, you'll lose too much.  Does he takea paci?  If so, squirt it in a bottle nipple (or medicine paci) and have him suck it down.  Otherwise, I guess I'd keep trying.  It does taste good, I think.
