Thoughts on the name Natalie?

I really like it, not sure I am in love with it. What are your thoughts on the name? What nicknames will I have to deal with besides the obvious: Nattie/Natty ::shudders::

Eh...I'm not very into Natalie. It's firmly "ok' for me. I don't think there are great NN options. If you're into NNs, I would choose a different name.

I like the name but not sold. I really don't like nicknames and was called by my given name by entire life. Thanks for your feedback.

Looooooove it. It's my DD's name, so I'm a little biased.

I don't think there are any pretty nn's. Nat and Natty. Gross. I had a coworker whose sister's name was Natalie, and they called her Talley. Maybe Leigh if you really wanted to dig for something. DD's has only been called Nat or Natty once or twice, and it was comments on Facebook. I just corrected it and said her full name. It's such a beautiful name; I don't know why anyone would want to shorten it.

Yes. I'm not a big nn person either. I want my kids to be called what I name them. Nobody ever calls her anything but Natalie face to face. Maybe the FB commenters were too lazy to write out her real name, haha.

Thank you! Paige was on the list for first names when naming her, but we couldn't think of a good mn to flow with it. I just love DD's name.

I love Natalie. It was in the top two for my LO, but we went with our other choice primarily because I don't like the nns (Nat or Nattie).

I think it is a very pretty name. My friends daughter is named Natalie, and she is just beautiful! I have great associations with it, but it is nms.

I love this name as well! Although I was hesitant because although Nattie sounds cute to me, it reminds me of Natural Lite Beer! Still considering it, though. I knew a girl named Natalie, and I never knew of anyone calling her by a nickname.

Ugh I know! That's why I want to be careful about potential NNs. People tried to give me NNs all my life but my brith name stuck. I hate Nattie - mainly b/c I think of the beer!

I love Natalie. It is beautiful and classic. I am not a big nickname person. We are all full name people in my family. So, I say name her Natalie and don't use any nicknames!
