I have a bullet and tried pureeing sweet potatoes. It seemed like it was working overtime to mash them up. I was under the impression that the bullet did everything(according to the commercials anyways lol). Some bumpies have mentioned that they have used it for babyfood. Did you have to put a small amount of food in for it to work effectively?
I have found that just my regular blender works better. The bullet works for stuff that isn't as thick as sweet potatoes. I made blueberries with the bullet and it worked fine but I did sweet potatoes in the blender. HTH!
We use the magic bullet to do our own food and just did sweet potatoes a couple of weeks ago. I peeled, boiled, and cut them pretty small then used the blender-like attatchment, not one of the cups. Also, we did add a good amount of formula to get it smooth enough.
revolution-I have never tried any other attachments, just the cup. I suppose that makes sense that that would work better. Also, could prob. cut the chunks up smaller.
Re: Magic Bullet for Baby Food
We use ours all the time for making baby food (and lots of other stuff too). We haven't tried sweet potatoes in it though.
Maybe a little liquid (bmilk, formula, or water) would help to get things moving?
