Cereal ?

When your lo's started cereal did you see their appetite decrease?

One of my girls was ready to eat at the 3 hr mark but my other one had to be woken up. We try to keep them on the same schedule to make things easier but the one that we woke up ended up leaving 2 ounces.

Just curious if this is normal?

    They are only 3 months old? 2 months adjusted? I think they are a little too young to start cereals..we started at 4.5 months on rice cereal just a few spoon fulls just for practice.

    I didn't really want to start cereal until 4mths but we have tried everything for reflux & the pedi recommended we add 1 tbsp in their bottle.

    I think that's normal. The rice adds additional calories to their diet, even in small amounts. I saw an initial decrease in volume, but they got back to normal after a while. The other thing I noticed was they had to work harder at getting the formula out because it was thicker, so they tired out more quickly while eating. The reflux is rough, and you're in the worst phase right now. Hang in there!
