Reviews on Munire baby furniture?

I spent the day looking for baby furniture.  I didn't like anything at Babys r Us, liked some stuff at Buy Buy Baby and then hit a local kid and crib furniture store.  I loved the Munire furniture.  I went home and looked up reviews and they were not good. 

I bought the "Baby Bargains" book on the recommendation of the sales guy and soon found out that the crib reviews weren't the best.

Help?  What is good?  I've read DaVinci Kalani is good, but then that isn't reviewed by this book.

I bought Munire, no baby yet, but I like it!

When we were looking for furniture we highly considered Munire. We just didn't love anything. We ended up with Capretti furniture.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our Munire Newport.  It is still gorgeous and held up fabulously!

I really like the Munire Majestic we got for DS.  It's definitely higher quality: very sturdy, mostly solid wood, no exposed hardware, etc.  Munire did get really good ratings in Baby Bargains, I'm not sure where you were reading the bad reviews.  I really liked the matching dresser too, but I decided to save the money and just used one we already had.

It did get great reviews on babby bargains, but if you google the reviews, there are sites that say the finish wears off quickly and/or the finish is slightly different from piece to piece and doesn't match, or that the holes don't line up and it isn't easy to adjust the mattress.

I really like the look and don't mind the price, but want to get good quality.

I'm not concerned about difficulty lowering the mattress, you do it once over the baby's life.

We have the Munire Deco for our first and will consider Munire again for our second. First of all the furniture is extremely well made and beautiful. I will see we did have some issues - upon delivery a drawer was broken. The store we purchased it from immediately took it back and Munire sent a new dresser. A year later I noticed a lot of scratches and the finish coming off. I wrote Munire and the store we bought it from and they sent a furniture repair expert to touch up the finish for free. The finish can be a little delicate because it is nursery furniture so after it was repaired I bought Gummi Rails for the sides of the crib and a cloth protector for the front of the crib. I also have a Gummi Rail on the front of the dresser that I use as a changing table. I was very impressed by their customer service and overall the product is very high quality.

The finish still looks great on ours and everything lined up fine.  I actually put it together by myself and it was pretty easy.  You also only adjust the mattress once, like PP said.  When DS started sitting up I just dropped it right to the bottom level, not a big deal.

We have Munire Majestic, bought in 2006 for our first son. It will be used this winter for our 3rd.  No issues, has held up to 2 boys very well. We used it as a toddler bed for our 1st, and have moved twice with it.  We also have the matching long dresser/changer, with no issues.

Are you sure you have the right book?  BB gives Munire an A-, that's a pretty good review.  They give Million Dollar Baby, the parent company of DaVinci, a B.

I have the Essentials Lifetime Flat crib by Baby Cache from BRU.  My husband and dad assembled it in less than an hour this afternoon and it's gorgeous.  All the pieces match and the crib is very sturdy.  It's a classic Mission design and will grow with our LO.

We bought the Munire Majestic Full Panel Crib, Dresser with Hutch, and nightstand for my son.  It has been cracking on every piece.  I contacted the baby furniture store we purchased it from and they after some time, I have 2 options 1) pick out a whole new bedroom set that replaces this, or 2) reorder a new Majestic set but run that risk that if it does crack again I will have to directly contact Munire myself to resolve the issue.  Have any of you experienced this with the Munire products?  Is Munire really great to work with?  I am absolutely in LOVE with this bedroom set, but torn.  Any help and feedback would be greatly appreciate!!

@kylarice‌ FYI-there is a post below stating that they have files bankruptcy, so contacting them for future problems won't be possible.

@kimikins79‌, Unless your furniture store has Munire physically in stock you probably won't get it from what I've heard. I can't even find a furniture place that will take orders due to the bankruptcy. I was told point black that Munire/ Echelon has completely stopped production on furniture and isn't even filling their back orders. I know a few ladies who have had their orders cancelled or who have recieved only their partial sets only to be told the missing pieces will not be coming in ever. I even called BBB & Amazon & this was confirmed as well. It was devastating since I can't find a crib I love now.

As an alternate, try checking out some Pali cribs. They are highly rated and excellent quality.

We have the Munire Keyport crib in espresso. It looks adorable set up but the cribs of every brand all started looking the same after shopping for awhile. We went with Munire bc Baby Bargains gave the brand great ratings but as others have said, the company filed for bankruptcy. (Kudos to the company for trying to bring a line to the USA entirely...)

Our baby isn't yet born so I can't comment on the crib besides it's nice appearance.
