Ferber Method-1st Day

Right now, I am listening to my little girl scream bloody murder because she wants to be rocked and held till she falls asleep. I am now waiting for the next time I can go in there to calm her down. This is hard to do but she's not been getting enough sleep at night.

Only took an hour or so for her to finally fall asleep.

What were the intervals you used to check up on her? We might be starting Ferber in a few weeks and DH is very skeptical.

3, 5, 10, 10 each time after that until she fell asleep. I suggest reading the book. He gives really good ideas.

It took our little guy an hour the first time we did it too - worst hour of my life.  2nd night it was down to 20 minutes...3rd night - 5 minutes!

We're doing Ferber also, but DD goes down fine at night, rolls right to her side and goes to sleep, usually.  But middle of the night is a nightmare and it's not been fun listening to her scream at 2 am.  Hopefully tonight is smoother.

Yahoo...put her down to sleep at 7:50pm because she was super tired. She was was asleep at 8:10pm.
