We are skipping out on NYE this year and going out on a fancy date night tonight instead. It's just not worth it to mess with her sleep schedule, esp since we just started Ferber two nights ago. I'm not too sad about it though, NYE always seems like somewhat of a bust.
we are having a fancy shcmancy dinner party with about 10 friends. dinner is at 8:30 so J will be sound asleep upstairs (he sleeps through everything! he slept through our rockin 80's halloween party!). DH is cooking and we'll play some board games and just hang out for the night with some of our nearest and dearest! i'm super excited!

Another exciting night in bed by 9 or 10. I do wish we could attend my friends art show but DD turns into a pumpkin around 6/630 so no way she could handle the 8pm show and I am too cheap/too scared bedtime would get messed up to hire a babysitter.

No plans here. Probably have a drink or two with DH, play cards and call it a night. Partying doesn't interest me in the least. I'm not even sure if we'll stay up for the countdown.

Married to the Milk Man
We are going to a friend's house who will be having mainly couples over there. Some of them have kids but by the time festivities start I'm sure DS will be fast asleep upstairs.
We're having a "baby New Years" party with some friends who also have babies. We're going to count down to 2012 on London time, so that'll be 6pm here in Chicago. We'll try to find London's festivities on TV, the babies can play/stare at each other, we'll have some champagne and snacks, and I think everyone will be home by 7pm.
Then DH and I will put DS to bed and cook something nice for dinner and hang til we feel like going to sleep. We'll probably watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV - will be 11pm for us. We may or may not make it til midnight here.
Finally updating my signature and avatar, August 29, 2011 (better late than never!)

December Siggy Challenge: Favorite Holiday Movie
We are supposed to go to our friends' house for the night. We may end up just leaving Jackson with them and heading home shortly after midnight. He will already be asleep and Bea will probably try to kill us if we take him. She's a bit in love with him
If by getting crazy you mean eating dinner, drinking a glass of champagne and hanging out with the baby at home, then yes, we are throwing a rager.
My two friends from college are coming up to hang out but they are very low key and really just want to see the baby! Hopefully she will be sleeping by midnight so we can enjoy ourselves a little.
We host a party for our college friends--this year is the 9th in a row! We are pretty low-key: I make dinner, we drink and dance a little bit (nothing crazy). I'll be in bed right after the ball drop though!
New Year's Day we all hang out in our pajamas and watch movies and play games. It's a great way to start the new year! It's the only time all year I get to see some of them so I really look forward to it.
We're taking the girls to see "Disney Princesses on Ice: Dare to Dream." They don't know, we're going to surprise them! I'm sure when we get home we'll all pass out. Going to those things is stressful & exhausting (for the parents, lol).
I usually go to sleep early and H wakes me up 2 minutes before the ball drops. I watch it and go right back to sleep.
I'm sure we'll be in bed before midnight. We'll likely just watch a movie, eat some dinner, and then crash for the night. We're not drinkers or partiers, so it's not a big night for us.
dinner at DH's work downtown with My Parents and Baby Girl. Then My Mom said she would watch DD if DH and I want to go out when he gets off but I bet we wont since that will be pretty late.
Well tomorrow is my B-day so it is always hard trying to plan something. But we are taking a road trip to go to our first Diners Drive'ins and Dives restaurant for breakfast! (yep we plan on visiting a bunch) We are excited! A friend did say she would babysit so DH and I can go out for dinner. I think then it will be a movie, watch the ball drop, and go to sleep!!!!

We're still staying at the IL's house, so we're having dinner out with them, SIL, and BIL and his gf. After dinner the plan is to go back to ILs house, put Ev to bed, and then we (us and BIL, gf, SIL, and my best friend and her bf) will probably head out to a local restaurant/bar to hang out until midnight. It won't be too crazy of a night since we're leaving the next morning to drive back home, but should still be fun.
Well I think tomorrow day we may go on our first geocaching trip if it's not too windy. Then we may stop by a friends house but then we will be home and definitely asleep before midnight.
We have dinner reservations at a good hibachi restaurant in our area with our closest family/friends. We will be going home afterwards to put N to bed and then spend the rest of the evening with everyone enjoying a few bevs and ringing in the new year. I'm pretty excited =]

DH and I have a day date while my mom babysits. Headed into Boston to have nice dinner and go to the movies. Going to see "New Year's Eve"....lol. We'll be home by about 8PM. We're going to try to stay up to watch the ball drop but I have a feeling we will be passed out way before then.

We have reservations at 5pm at the melting pot. My parents are watching Ian when we go out for our first meal w/o the baby. I think there may be a martini in my future

We are visiting my fam right now, so we are just doing dinner at my parents' house with them and my brothers. Nothing wild...we are getting up early the next day to head home.
I used to love NYE, but after being pregnant last year and baby-focused now, I have no interest in doing anything big. I might go crazy and have a glass of wine. We'll see...
We're going to order pizza and then watch the ball drop in our living room, in our PJs, ha ha. We do have a bottle of sparkling wine, though. Should be fun
Re: NYE plans?
We will also probably be in bed before or very shortly after midnight. We've never really gotten into NYE festivities...
Yep, me too. I highly doubt we'll be up at midnight. Oh well, it doesn't really bother me.
