I want my routine back!

Is it Tuesday yet?

DS hasn't been 'bad', but he's been off since the 15th and I am running out of entertainment options. LOL

No, they really are being good and playing with all of the new toys, but he's missing his friends and everyone's got too much going on for playdates.

Come on, 2012!!

  • DH went to work yesterday, it was lovely.
  • I here you and my younger DD's daycare has been open for the most part but older DD only had her program 2 days this week and all of next week, they are open T-F but its still school break so they are doing all of these special things for the kids and not all the kids will be there and we need to bring lunch which is not normal.  At least we start up our extra activties again so that will get us back into more of the normal routine.

  • amen!  I want my kids in bed at a decent hour and tired enough to go to bed then.  I'm really having a tough time keeping them busy this time around b/c I just don't have the energy to do much with them anymore.  And, trying to get DS to sit down to do some reading to keep up is annoying!  It's just not part of our routine since our "routine" changes each weekend b/c of these long holiday weekends.

  • me too!!!  bedtime is a mess.  DS is sleeping in which will suck come Tuesday when I have to wake him for daycare. DD is up at 5 every morning (WTF), no naps (WTF) and bed at 10pm.  She's a machine and I can't keep up! and it's not like l'm not trying to keep a good schedule, but one or two nights out late and it's all downhill from there.

Then there is the entertaining issue.  I have plenty to keep me busy in this house with cleaning and deChristmas-ing, etc, but they're bored out of their minds. We've done something every day except one, but you'd think I kept them in the basement from the way they're whining about being bored.  I might go back to work on Monday just because. So what if the building is closed!!
