Re: What's left on your "to-do" list?
buy changing pad.

Everything else is just secondary in my brain at this point
DD 1/3/2012
BFP 5/21/2013 MC 5/24/2013
BFP 7/16/2013 EDD 3/27/2014
Find a pediatrician!
Install carseat
finish packing hospital bag
make husband read baby book- lol
take down christmas decorations
Put some audio books on my ipod for down time at the hospital and for breastfeeding times. I figure it will be easier to listen than to read.
I can't wait to see what everybody else says, because I know I'm probably forgetting something.
Everything. Seriously.
We have to get the office furniture out of the office and put together the crib, the glider and pick up the dresser from my parents (over an hour away). We need to put up a rod and some curtains too.
We have to assemble the swing and the PNP.
We have to have our car seats installed.
I need to wash all of the baby clothes, blankets, sheets, burp cloths...
I have to pack my hospital bag.
I have to GET a diaper bag and get that packed.
I need to buy diapers for the baby and pads for me. I also want to get Vaseline in case it's a boy (I have, but would want to use a fresh jar).
I need to organize all of the baby "stuff" that I'll need.
Oh, and bottles...I have to buy bottles in case the baby doesn't take to nursing, I get an infection, I'm not producing enough, etc. I tried getting them twice, but the store was out of the ones I really want.
I have to stock up at the supermarket so we aren't running out of toothpaste or crushed tomatoes during the first couple of weeks - I really like to just be prepared and not have to count on sending my husband out to the store for one or two things 100 times over the course of the first few weeks.
I have to print out my paperwork for Disability and FMLA so I have all of that info squared away.
I STILL have to get my name changed on my health insurance so this baby isn't listed in the hospital as Baby MyMaidenName since I've been lax (to say the least) and the baby will instead be in the nursery/labeled as Baby MyMarriedName...or my husband may cry! Lol.
I have to download everything off of my camera so I have fresh memory in there.
Contact pediatrician (and get my daughter's records from the old/further away pedi to the one I have decided to use for both kids going forward).
Shall I go on? We really haven't done SQUAZOOL (as we say in our house ;-) aside from get the things we'll need over the first couple of months. So, yeah, we HAVE the things we need...but they're all still boxed up or in bags and not a darn thing has happened yet!
Glad you posted because I can refer back to this as my own personal checklist now! ;-)
Have DH put the crib together
Buy a mattress for the crib and make the bed
Put away cloth diapers
Sort out swaddling blankets from fluffier blankets
Sterilize bottles/pacifiers

Pack hospital bag
Have the baby
Yeah, we've been a bit slack. We were using Christmas as an excuse because we wanted to see what last minute gifts people might get us, but now we don't have an excuse. >.<;
Basically everthing.....
Wash baby's clothes, bottles, pacifiers, sheets, receiving blankets, etc.
BUY a carseat (ordering tomorrow haha)
Install said carseat
Get bassinet from friend
Wash cloth diapers
Buy wet bags, diaper pail and baby monitor
Pack hospital bag and diaper bag
Have baby....
Wash the new clothes and stuff that people gave the girls for Christmas
Install car seats
Find our marriage license for visa procedures that we have to do right after birth
Empty memory card on our camera
I don't even want to think about it, there's SO much.
Right now we are dealing with having to order custom closet doors because of an odd size opening and until those are installed we can't finish the closet system since we don't know the footprint of the doors until they are in. We have to finish decorating the nursery and get the door into the room installed. Why did I decide we needed to replace all the doors in the house?!
I haven't packed a hospital bag, picked a pediatrician, registered at the hospital or even bought all the rest of the stuff we need. I'm shocked I'm not more worried than I already am.
ETA: I forgot I still have to get over to my Gma's to help her make the curtains that are the inspiration for her entire nursery theme.

- receive curtains in the mail
