I go back to work on Tuesday (boo ), and I've been slacking on giving Hailey a bottle. She had half of one bottle when she was a month old and that's it. I tried to give her one today and she absolutely refused to drink it. I'm going to have DH try later today, but other than that, does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting her to take it?
Thanks!
Re: Ack! Bottle help please
We struggled with this, too. After a million trips to the store to buy new bottles, we found BreastFlow was the only thing that worked.
We also tried having lots of different people feed her (in the end, my parents "taught" her how to use a bottle). If you know someone with expertise in bottle feeding (childcare worker, people with young kids), have them try to do a feeding. Is your daughter going to care, or will your husband be at home with her? If she's at childcare, I would do a could test runs, and leave her for just a couple hours.
Try with you out of the house. Also, I would try at the easiest time of day - for us it was morning. If she gets too uspet, break, walk around, and try again.
GL - I know first hand how nerve-wracking this can be! Addie struggled for the first couple times, and it took about 20 minutes of her being fussy before she was able to take the bottle. Once she learned how it worked, there were no issues, and she took with easily.

Evan won't take a bottle from me but he will from other people. He won't eat much though from it unless he's starving. He doesn't like them too much but will take one if it's all he's offered and he's really hungry.
I'd try having your DH give her one when she's really hungry. Make sure you are not in the room so she doesn't smell you and want to nurse instead.
