If I have chicken that has a use or freeze by date of 12/27/11 and today is the 29th...do I need to chuck it? I totally forgot DH bought it and it was in the fridge. I'm pretty sure I should throw it out huh?

Yeah..I went ahead and threw it out. $20 down the drain!

When in doubt, throw it out!  I've used chicken that I bought and tried to cook on the "sell by" date, but when I threw it in the soup it definitely smelled....different...

I threw it out and we had turkey burgers for dinner.
