I think my ds is waking at night because of teething pain. Currently we use tylenol but I am open to suggestions. Advil? Hylands? (I am worried about Hylands because of all the bad press in the past year. Someone tell me it's a godsend and to stop worrying.)
We'd only been using tylenol, but took DS to the pedi today because I thought he had an ear infection. It ended up just being pain from teething and she said that generally (in her experience), ibuprofen tends to work better and last longer. We'll be using it tonight for the first time. ::fingers crossed::
We can't use Ibuprofen for a week because of a minor surgery this week... But, Tylenol tends to help DS' pain more than Ibuprofen (Ibuprofen is great for fevers, though). I got some NATURAL Orajel tonight - no benzocaine - so if he wakes up hurting like he did last night, I'm giving tylenol and orajel and *hopefully* putting him back to bed!

DD just got her first tooth on Christmas Eve and now the second one is very close to breaking through, too. She's in obvious discomfort and super fussy lately. We've been using Tylenol occasionally and it never seems to help her. I tried Motrin today for the first time and I noticed quite a bit of improvement.
