Anyone have experience with the doctors at Adefris and Toppin?

After 3 miscarriages, we're heading to a specialist.  I can get pregnant, just can't stay that way!  Anyway, tomorrow we'll be meeting with a doctor at Adefris and Toppin in Woodbury.  Does anyone have an experience with this clinic?

I used to go there.  Everyone that works there is very nice.  I know every experience is different but there were a few things that didn't sit well with me.  On multiple occasions I was told that I would be called with results of things and wasn't.  I had to call and a couple times this led to more appointments or a follow up sooner.  If you want I can go into it further via email (p.m. me), I don't want to bash them too much because I know of people who have had great experiences with them.  I ended up switching to Metro OB at 36 weeks.

I love them!  I have not had any trouble with them.

My husband and I had some difficulty trying to conceive (my period randomly stopped after a few normal cycles after going off the pill) and my primary care physician decided to refer me to an OB/GYN to correct it. I picked Adefris and Toppin. They started by ordering the standard set of infertility tests for us, which we did. They then offered to start me on fertility drugs (as an under-35 year old woman who had, at that point, been trying for less than a year), but I felt it was a bit premature and decided to wait it out. (Lo and behold, my cycle returned on its own, and we were eventually successful, but it was quite a ride...)

Overall, my opinion was somewhat mixed, but I didn't find it a bad clinic. In retrospect, I felt they were a bit premature at ordering tests/offering treatment given our overall situation, but you sound like you would benefit more from the testing/treatment if they recommend that route right away. The staff, and the doctor I saw all seemed very nice, and the office is very pretty. My biggest complaint was that I had a hard time contacting the office. Their front desk phone hours are something like 9-5, which conflicts with my work hours. If they ask you to call their nurse line, it is very rare to actually reach someone and they usually ask you to leave a number and they will call back. I found that frustrating, since I didn't want to be called at my desk at work for personal info such as that.

When we did conceive, I decided to go with the HealthEast midwives instead of Adefris and Toppin for my prenatal care. This was mostly due to the problems contacting the office, but also because I like the midwife philosophy on childbirth. I did consider going back to A&T, and wouldn't have had a problem doing so had it not been for those two things.

I see Dr. Andreson there. We did fertility treatment with a specialist (Center for Reproductive Medicine) but I know they do at least clomid treatment here. But for my ob stuff I absolutely loved this clinic and also my deliveries at Woodwinds.

And, I'm really sorry for your losses. I have had three and it's just so sad. This clinic was also prepared to do some bloodwork to help determine why, but I opted to go to CRM instead. Overall I think they'd be really good in helping you, if you didn't have coverage, or didn't want to go to a specialist (Reproductive Endocrinologist like CRM).
