8 ounce or 4 ounce bottles?

How many 4 or 8 ounce bottles total are your lo's getting a day? We have been doing all 4 ounce bottles and an 8 since at night. I'm wondering if I should go bigger and less frequent while solids are starting. Tia!

I haven't done a 4oz bottle in I don't know how long lol. He's on 8oz bottles and takes 4 or so of those a day. He doesn't always finish them so sometimes there is a smaller 5th bottle later.

We do one 4 oz bottle in the a.m. (and she usually doesn't finish it), 2 6 oz bottles at day care and then a third one there or at home (depending on when DH picks her up) as well as a 6 oz bottle at bed time (sometimes she doesn't finish all of this, sometimes she'll wake up 45 minutes and decide she wants the rest).

DS was doing four 8oz bottles a day when we started solids. Once he got a hang of the solids, and now is eating a ton (he LOVES his solids!), I'm still offering him the four 8oz bottles a day, but he almost never finishes a bottle anymore. He's probably down to about 24oz/day of formula, but he eats about 8oz a day of solids. It took awhile for him to eat so much solids though!
