Nose bleeding

hello, I had a lot of blood coming out when I was blowing my nose (sorry for TMI), I freaked out and called my Dr. but she's on VL until next week. I also felt like spitting, and blood came out, gross! That was yesterday for a bit, today I'm fine. I went to my ultrasound in the afternoon, and both babies are ok. Did this happen to any of you?

No joke, this just happen to me 30 seconds ago.  I've had a ton of Nose swelling since the 1st trimesters but today was the first nose bleed.  Im going to just keep an eye on it today.

Happens every day to me. I almost never blow my nose without blood.  It's common during pregnancy.  The blood you are spitting is just running from the back of your nose into your throat.  To try to prevent bigger nose bleeds, I use a saline nasal spray that keeps my nostrils moist.  I probably have one major nosebleed / week.  No worries!

Yep, happens all the time to me too. It's perfectly normal, no need to worry.

Happened to me too... apparently the pregnancy hormones that cause your cervix to soften, soften some of the tissue in your nose too. I think I had read that your cervix and your nose have similar tissue make up.

Happened to me all the time too when I was pregnant.  I also had alot of problems with bleeding gums when I brushed my teeth - and forget about flossing - my bathroom would look like a crime scene!  (slight exaggeration!)   good luck!

Beginning at 16 weeks, I had a nose bleed every single day until the boys were born.  Since the day they were born I haven't had a single one. 

My doctor also said it was nothing to worry about.  Something about thinning mucas membranes...

First thing that enters my mind is to get a humidifier in the house.  In the winter everything is dry and that's probably what it is....my guess anyway.  Strange things happen during when your pregnant.

I've had frequent nose bleeds and bleeding gums this whole pregnancy. The Dr said it's totally normal she said its due to increased blood flow in general.
