Yep, only way I can keep her feet covered and protected from the cold. She kicks socks off, and with sleep n plays she can't keep them off. I don't frankly care if it's PJs for babies, it keeps her warm when it's cold out and that's all I care about!
I do if its a quick run to the bank or post office. If we are going out for a couple hours or something I'll put him in an "outfit." But it's still usually a comfy outfit - long sleeve onesie and cotton pants.
I haven't very often...mostly because I have an unhealthy addiction to DS's clothes and love to dress him cute when we go out. That being said, when we are at home, he lives in those things. They are comfy and warm and I have no problem taking him out in public in them and wouldn't judge those that do the same.
Honestly, the thought has never occurred to me. I guess because I consider them strictly pajamas.
My opinion is that they are called "sleep & plays" so that they aren't labelled as exclusively PJs, therefore don't have to be flame retardant (which costs more to manufacture).

I always considered them pajamas too so no, I never take him out in them. I make a point to get him dressed every day because I certainly don't. Plus, I think he looks adorable in blue jeans and a little sweater.
I do sort of have jeans envy.... K has several pairs of jeans.... Can't fit into a single pair... They all swallow her whole. None of them fit her right. The only time I ever really put her in "day" clothes is if we're going to a family gathering or a planned outing. Most of the time we just put her in what will keep her warm and comfy.

I'm the same way. Not to mention the fact that it's cold enough here now that if we're just going to the store, he's not really out of his snowsuit anyways, so no one can see what he's wearing.

Yep for me! Unless it's a special occasion. Trip to the store yes, dinner out no. Living in the midwest makes being warm more important. I guess I'm practical and as long as she is happy thats all that matters.

Only when he was a newborn. But I'm really weird about stuff like that. Even if we'll be home all day, I still always change him out of pajamas when he wakes up in the morning. I see nothing wrong with bringing him out in pjs/sleep and plays, I'm just weird and can't do it for some reason .

Yep! These are my exact reasons! And I'm in the midwest as well. Our weather is so finicky!

Just wanted to say that Robeez soft shoes are the best for keeping socks on! They have elastic around the ankles so they never fall off and LO can't easily pull them off! They are amazing.

Nope, just once when she was sick. I took her to her 6 PM sick appointment in them. Some parents send their kids to daycare in them, but I only do on Pajama day.

Out of curiosity... Can you only buy them online? I cannot find them anywhere in town.
Not often. She is usually dressed in regular clothes. Sometimes I put her in SNPs if we are just hanging out in the house all day, but if something comes up and we leave the house I won't change her outfit.
I only did this once when LO was sick and we neeed some meds. I also sometimes put them on during the weekends. She has a lot of clothes so I like her to wear those more.
Depends. If we are running to the grocery store, and she stays in her car seat, I'll leave her in the fleece pjs. It's cold here, and they provide a lot of warmth. If we are going to visit friends/family or to Gymboree, or shopping, etc, then I put an outfit on her.
I don't do it. I dress DS in an outfit for daycare, outings etc. I consider them to be pajamas. But I certainly wouldn't give anyone the side eye if they did it!
No, I get LO dressed if we are going out...but if I needed too, I don't have a problem running out with her dressed in them. I don't give the side eye if I see another baby in them out in public.
Yes. This is what he wears most often. I have tons, tons of socks and they all cause marks on his chunky feet n legs. Have tried bigger socfs n robeez shoes and he hates it. So, most days he is in footed clothes and I could care less if they are or are not pj's. He is a baby and needsto be comfortable and is comfy in those.
I consider them PJs and only took her to school in them once, last week bc they were Christmas PJs. But I don't see any problem with it. We just have way too many cute clothes we were given and I don't want to waste them before she outgrows them!
I would but I'm not overly concerned in what my LO wears. Of course, I like to dress her cute but if we're just going out for a bit, who cares?
Mine is a little heater so for the most part, she is still just in onesies around the house and I will add some pants when we go out. She can't even wear a long sleeved onesie. Dresses, sweaters and jeans are definitely out. I love sweaters
Yes. All the time. I can't justify putting on a clean outfit for a short trip. And he spends most at home time in sleep and plays. Likewise our LO is lacking on 6-9 month winter clothing. If only he and DS1 would have been closer in season then I would have had a ton of clothes! As it is all of the leftovers from DS1 are spring/summerish clothes (as he was a premie and also stayed in his clothes longer). Sleep and Plays are really all that I have in 6-9 month clothing remotly suitable to the weather!
I really need to run to Once Upon a Child and pick up a few pairs of pants and hoodies. Because I've been putting him in sleep and plays when I have to run a lot of erronds now too.

Same here, one was an Oct. birthday the other one was May. I have to start to buy more seasonally appropriate clothes for the little one. I just don't have the motivation to spend more money on clothes that won't get worn more than once or twice. Also I really like his feet to be covered and warm. The socks and Robeez cut into his massive cankles.
I often take Liam to daycare in them since it's so early and I know he'll nap right after I leave. If she stays clean she often leaves him in them and if I have to run an errand (like to target) right after work I'm not about to change him just for that.

All the time. I don't see the big deal. She's a freakin baby, she's probably less than 2 hours from another nap anyway and, like PP said, they keep her feet warm. Now, its not like she's still wearing what she wore to bed the night before. I change her after she gets up in the morning, either into a clean sleeper or "outfit."
Honestly, anyone giving me the side eye over the fact that my baby is wearing "pajamas" needs to find something better to worry about.

ds is in sleep & play about 98% of the time. If we're just around the house or at daycare I just keep him in those (fresh one every evening before bed). If we go to someone's house or out to eat or something I usually get him dressed in daytime clothes. Daycare actually requested we send him in s&p because he would kick his socks off. Unless someone has their baby dressed in something seasonally inappropriate (not dressed warm enough or vice versa) I could care less what they are wearing and don't judge. I could also care less if people judge me for what ds is wearing. If they'd like to provide a wardrobe for him then that's different...
It really depends. If we are going for a morning run I keep her in her footed pjs to help keep her nice and warm, and that is four days a week. After our morning run I'll change her out of her pjs. If it is warm then I will change her out of the pjs into a onesie and baby legs (no socks) since she hates socks too!

definitely! they're my favorite outfit for her!
I did get some tall boots though, difficult to kick off and keeps her feet covered

No I do not. It was actually my UO a few weeks back that it drives me nuts to see babies out in their jammies. Sleep and plays are jammies.
As usual, I agree with you.
