Chipwrecked made Kennedy cry. :(

My uncle came in from Ga for cmas and took everyone out to see a movie last night.

***SPOILER***

The part where the volcano started to erupt really scared her.  She was so upset and thought the chipmunks were going to get hurt/killed.  She came and sat on my lap and asked to leave.  I couldnt make the other 2 leave though.  (my mom, gma and uncle went to see Sherlock Holmes)  So I cuddled her and told her they were going to be just fine.  She actually had some tears.  :(  Poor sweet Kennedy,  she is so sensitive.   After seeing that they got to the raft ok she was fine.  She really liked the entire first part of the movie and laughed during most of it.  The volcano part is at the end.  She told my mom, uncle, gma, dh and our neighbor that she didnt like any of the movie.  lol.

Was anyone elsed dc scared during the movie?

  • My almost 8 and almost 4 year old did ok with that part.

The lady who wanted the treasure was wacko!

  • My 4 year old loved it but at that scene he yelled that he wanted to get out of there and go home and play his leapfrog. That was his way of saying he was scared.

  • Off subject movie wise but my sisters had my lo watch the first Home Alone with them and when he was in the basement and the hot water heater was making noises my dd put her hands over her eyes and peeked through her fingers until the part was over.

But thats sweet she cared about the chipmunks.

  • I can't really recall but it was at the end that DD wanted to sit in my lap and DS1 wanted to hold my hand (that's what he does when he gets scared.  Its sweet).

  • That part terrified my four year old. There were a couple of other parts that scared her too. Overall, she liked the movie but some of it was too much for her.

  • My 6 and 4.5 y/o did ok.  DD is ok as long as there isn't a scary mean villan in the movie.  She dislikes most Disney movies for this reason.
    DS1 age 7, DD age 5 and DS2 born 4/3/12
  • DD started crying at that part too. The only other movie that has ever freaked her out is the Grinch that Stole Christmas. (the one with Jim C)

  • I would cry if I saw that too.
