Hi everyone!
My name is Christine and I am 27. My husband and I have been married a little over a year now. I was on BC for about 7 years. I stopped in September of this year and still havent gotten a period. I've had some spotting and a positive ovualtion test on 11/28. I really want to start a family but am super frustrated about the non existant period! My husband was diagnosed with brain cancer (currently in remission with a successful operation! yay!) in october. We had to sperm bank and would really like to start a family in 2012. Any advice would be greatly apprieciated!
Hopeful Mommy,
Christine
Re: Need Help/Advice!!
At this point I'd call your OB/GYN and ask for a script for Provera to jump start a new cycle.
Good luck and congrats on your DH's remission!
Yeppers! I also want to offer my congratulatory wishes on your husbands remission! What great news!

Welcome Christine!
If it has been more than 60 days without a period, you should see your OB/GYN. He/she can start you on Provera. Also, just because you got a + ovulation test does not mean that you actually ovulated. It only means that your body was gearing up to ovulation (LH surge). The only way to know for sure that you ovulated is to be checking your temperature daily.
If you haven't already.....The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and the website Fertility Friend have a ton of information!
Good luck!
