How long were you at 1 centimeter?

Just got back from our 37 week check... and I've dilated 1 cm since Thursday.  Last week, I was just thinned out, but still closed.  The doctor said that LO is really low and he could feel his head! This made me happy, but now I'm wondering how long I might be stuck at 1 cm.  I want to see my little man!!

Anyone progress quickly/slowly once you finally did start dilating?

From what I hear it varies greatly...my doc said the only real predictor I could try to go off of was how frequently I was getting contractions/BH

When I was 34 weeks I was checked and was dilated to 1 and then at 36 weeks was dilated to 1 1/2 and at 37 weeks was 3 and 50% effaced. But I also know a girl who was dilated to 1 and had her baby that night. You can't really tell when they'll be here.

I was 1cm a week ago. I go today and we'll see if I've progressed at all!

2 weeks, and I've now been at 2 cm for 2 weeks (90% effaced) I've had lots of contractions, but apparently they aren't causing much progression.

I've been at 1 for over two weeks now.

Last Thursday at my 37 week appointment, I was 1 cm.  Got checked again today at my 38 week appointmetn and still a 1.
