burning sensation in your throat after throwing up

i just threw up and i now have a burning sensation in my throat. dh wants me to drink something but i just cannot imagine drinking anything and having it gone once again. is there a way to cure the burning feeling?? 

i feel like a big baby now

Last time I threw up it was the worst one ever. It burned so bad and kept going up through my nose so all through my throat/nose area burned so bad. It wore off in like 5 minutes.

I always sip on Ginger Ale, it helps with the burning and the nausea but I just take small sips so I don't overdue it and get sick again
