well i just had mine today as well and my doc said it could be normal to have a little bleeding after ...but if it continues and its worrying you I would call...just to ease your mind if nothing else...
I don't know about this late in the game but when I had to go to L&D at about 29 weeks and they did a cervical check, the doctor said that spotting/bleeding would be normal result.

My doctor also said some spotting is normal after a cervical examine. She said if you need a pad then to call.

I have had bleeding after every cervical exam, one in which I needed a pad (they accually gave me a pad to wear home just in case). They told me it was normal but if it didn't go away in 24 hours or got to be more then just the spotting to call.
It is normal to spot or bleed just a little. Rest and putting your feet up should help. I passed 4 quarter-sized clots after a pelvic and went to L&D. Everything checked out okay but they did tell me I did the right thing.

yikes your freaking me out tomorrow will be my first exam. I'm actually going to ask if they can wait till my next visit because i have some lovely sensitive hemorrhoids right now and don't ant anything touching me in that general area. yet I know that they were pretty addiment about this exam from my last check up after my fall. last thing I need to/want to be dealing with is more discomfort and bleeding.
I was actually a little surprised at how much bleeding I had after my first cervical exam, but it was a bunch at the beginning and tapered off quickly, with only a bit of spotting after that first few minutes.
My dr said that was normal, and that if it continued to call.
I had my first internal today and about one hour later, felt a gush and thought my water was breaking (and of course, I was out shopping...). I went in to the restroom and had bled through my underwear and pants. I also passed a clot about the size of a golf ball.
I called my OB (who had told me that spotting was normal) and told them it was all bright red, not mucous-y, etc. They told me it was normal and to go home and I would be fine. I was worried because home was 40 minutes away and "what if?". So, they told me to head to L&D and get hooked up to the monitors to be cautious.
Everything was fine with the baby on the monitors and I started having contractions every 3-4 minutes. I was still the same dilation and effacement as I was at the OB (fingertip/50%) so they discharged me after about an hour of monitoring.
Another hour later, when I got home, I passed another clot about the size if a quarter. I'm taking it easy today and keeping an eye on it. They said if I saturate a pad from flow then I need to go back...
Yikes.
