Prior to DS, I worked out at least 5 times a week and I mean seriously worked out - I ran for 2 miles and did some light weights. I got super sick with my pregnancy and gained 70 lbs from non-diagnosed eclampsia. Now I have all of this extra skin and a couple pounds in my thighs that I can't get rid of!!! Long story short, I don't have the time to go to the gym daily now because of my and DH's work schedules. Am I ridiculous to think that if I use a Wii Fit daily, it will help at all? Any reccomendations for games that have helped you?
TIA!
Re: Wii Fit
Well our issue right now is that DH works from 5:30am to 4:30pm and I work from 10:30am to 9pm watching two other little babies in our home and with DS waking up at 5:30 every morning, I'm too tired to get up with him after working out/showering until 10 or 11 every night. I have ankle weights that I use while walking DS every morning and I have 3lb weights that I could use but I'm also looking for something more fun than videos or reps in my living room you know? I was just wondering if anyone has used the Wii Fit to supplement their workouts because walking 2 miles a day isn't working for my belly or arms
I have both the Wii Fit and the Biggest Loser Challenge (BLC).
Personally I Loved the BLC - it had great customizable intensity and kept you going for as long as you want to work out (and it has been shown that being able to keep a sustained workout at home is actually more effective than going to a gym - as you usually have to take time to clean off machines/wait for an open machine and other stall tactics). I used this before getting pregnant and lost 12 pounds!
I had the Wii Fit before that and it just annoyed the crap out of me, the intensity was always really low, you might be active for 3 minutes and then you have to click through a million "recap" screens, it just seemed more geared toward an active senior citizen than a person looking to lose weight.

Just Dance (1,2 & 3) for Wii or Kinect are so much fun and not to mention a GREAT workout. I highly recommend.

This did way more for me than the wii fit did.
This isn't Wii related, but I'd check out Katrina and Karena from Tone it up.com They have tons of workouts to target every part of your body that can be done at home. I was following them and their diet plan until I got pregnant. Now that I've been cleared for exercise, I'll be starting again (modified of course). They do fun challenges and such where you can win prizes and they are so helpful and nice. They've answered all the questions I've ever had and genuinely care about the girls that follow them.
