Are you ever going to share that video of W laughing at the dog with her tutu on? What do you do at work? Do you think you're going to be able to hold yourself together on W's first birthday or will you cry all day? Did you ever find out if your SS even tried a regular face wash before jumping right to Proactive? How is his face doing?

What do you think you will remember most from this Christmas?
Hmm, that is a good question. I don't know. Maybe our first Christmas as a family. I'm a major sap, so I love stuff like that. I know we always had SS, but this just felt different. That might sound terrible, I dunno. Just felt like the family was complete now, and I felt more a part of it than ever.

I forgot all about that! I did put that video in her bday slideshow. Tonight when I am on my lap top I will post it for sure. I probably put that tutu on her once a week, I still love it!
What do you do at work? I was once pretty important, and then when I came back from being off for 6 months, and to only part time...I make lots of photo copies and have no say in anything. All in all, its better. I don't have to take work home, or anything anymore. But I miss the fast pace.

I have to work that day, so I imagine I will cry on the way to work and on the way home. Maybe I will cry during dinner too. I was rather surprised that H took that day off, so it will just be the 3 of us. I'm looking forward to that moment just as much as her bday party.

I had some left over proactive from when I used it, that was still good and he has been using it this week. I talked to someone on the Blended Families board who had some just sitting around and she just mailed it. So, we should be good for awhile! His face is just fine. He has maybe 1 zit! I don't know what to think about that lady sometimes, I just have to shake my head!!

I'm a huge sap too. Hence the question. I won't even embarrass myself by going into my sappiness.

Basically yes. In the court order it states they are to rotate every other year, but BM has given him to us on her years. I am not sure if she is making up for moving 3 hours away and offering us extra time...or she is up to something. Either way its nice.
Yesterday him and I were playing darts and he said "Now this is a family moment!"
I almost cried. Its very hard being a step mom, but moments like that I love.

I got so much stuff it wasnt even funny. So crazy. My mom made me a beautiful mirror with stained glass around it. A sewing machine, a necklace, the cd I wanted, candles (yankee AND swan creek!) hurricane centerpiece for the dinning room table, gift cards, etc.. etc.. I don't remember ever getting this much stuff. I don't know how we fit everyones stuff in the car.
Yes, I could never leave my family. H eventually wants to move up north near the family cabin. It is BFE for sure. I would love it too, but I don't want LO to miss out on being close to my sisters kids. Especially if we do not have more. I actually love where we live anyways, so its a no brainer really.
I do! We have not gotten a good snowfall yet. I am waiting. I love sledding and all that jazz. I think two years ago it was, I was in my back yard making a snow man with the 8 year old neighbor girl. I like doing cheesy stuff and cant wait to do it with W.

That's so sweet!!! It sounds like being a step mom would be very hard. I'm assuming you would end up caring about your step child like they were you're own and then how do you know when you're overstepping your boundaries? What's the hardest part about being a step mom?
