Moms that run: how old is too old for the jogger?

I am wondering if I should bother buying a double or not. We have a BOB, and DS is 2.5 and has no problem with it. He will be almost 3 when DS#2 arrives, and I am wondering if he will/can keep riding in it (assuming he does not exceed the weight limit...)

DS is almost 4 and still fits in the double BOB. However, he is getting on the tall side for it, and he's average height. I suspect by 5 he'll either be outright too tall or just plain too antsy to sit in it for any length of time.

I'm in the same boat, but we will be getting a jogger. I need to be able to run when I have both kids with me, so DD will just have to deal with it whether she likes it or not (as she always has...she's never been super content in the stroller).

DS will be three when the new baby gets here and, like PP, he's just going to have to deal   Momma needs to run so he's going to have to like it!!  I bought a used double at a moms to moms sale and I plan to use it this summer/fall and hopefully even next spring/summer (when he is 4).

I've found that now that he's older, if he knows we're running somewhere he likes (the park), he's totally cool with it.  So, I just adjust my runs to run to the park, take a break and run home. It's not ideal, but it keeps us all happy.

My 4 year old still fits but I rarely run with him.  If I have to run with them (I prefer not to) then I take their bikes and go to a track (esp if no one is around) and let them ride their bikes while I run.
