We are in sunny So FL, so don't have exprience dressing the kids for cold weather. We are going to GA (low 32 degrees) for NYE. The party we are going to will be outdoors... what do you recommend I dress my kids in?
I was thinking of jeans with long sleeve top (layered over a onesie) and they have peacoats. One boy doesn't do hats (I tried yesterday strolling around Target with them on, and one baby just yanks it off immediately)... so is it necessary for them to have hats?
I know it isn't ubber cold, but it isn't the weather we are accustomed to.
Thanks.
Re: Colder weather habitants...
IMO, I would keep working on the hats with them, they lose a lot of heat from their heads. My boys hated wearing them at first, and now we have ones that stay on by velcro under the chin. (Otherwise they probably wouldn't keep them on long) They like seeing each other in their hats so they finally keep them on and laugh at each other.
Good luck.
I agree with this. Something else to keep in mind: wearing them in the store/indoors is different than actually being out in the cold. When first trying to get my boys to wear hats, they also refused to keep them on their heads until the weather actually got cold enough to need them. Then they were "magically" fine with them.
I would add baby legs and maybe even a sweater if needed.
As for the hats, one of mine hated it until I started gushing over how cool his brother is with the hat on. Now they associate a hat with going outside.
