So last week I noticed a "bruising" like feeling close to my bikini line. Where your thigh meets your "area". It's so hard to explain the exact spot..your undies line would hit it exactly. Anyway..I felt to see what the pain was and I noticed a lump the size of a walnut. The pain has stopped but the lump is still there..I think a bit smaller. My friend said it was probably swollen lymph node/gland. I did just go back to Ballet. There is no redness and it is definitely under not on the skin. So we can pretty much rule out ingrown hair/pimple etc. I called my OB office today and she is on Vaca this week. They thought is could possible be a cyst. My PCP left the practice and I am left with Mikey's young male doc..ummmm?
Has anyone experienced something like this? Should I buck up and go to Mikes Doc? Or wait to see if it goes away?
Side note.. The last few months I've gotten these lumps on my thigh..they were red and hurt like hell..they discolored my skin like a bruise..and got itchy/stinging. We thought the 1st one was a spider bite..then 2 more came but only after the 1st and 2nd had gone. So weird right? The doc had no idea what they were.. My derm said eczema. I'm not so sure about that though. They were definitely not pimples or anything like that. I wonder if they could be linked to this new lump..same side of body..close to where others were.
Sorry this is long and strange... Have a Bell's Cupcake!
Re: I found a lump.. Can u help?
I second this. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

From your description, it does sound like it could be a swollen lymph node or perhaps a cyst....unfortunately, the only way you are going to know for sure is if you go in and be seen.....I would recommend doing that, if for no other reason then to give you some piece of mind. While you may be nervous about seeing a male doc (I don't like going to one either....), know that to him, you will just be another patient, another body....even if he is young, us in the medical field (I am an RN) get so used to nudity that he won't even blink an eye.
What you describe as far as the other "bumps" does sound like eczema to me....and I would be very surprised if the "lump" is related to the "bumps". The fact that they have gone away is reassuring and it might have just been a localized reaction to something as well. But again, bring it up when you are at the doctor's office if it is bothering you.
GL!
I agree. Go to your doc. There a lot of glands in that area. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about.
I replied to you in the LIW thread without noticing you made a separate post. Oops!
MH gets sebaceous cysts and he recently had one on his inner thigh. It starts out as a hard lump then fills with fluid, then disappears. If it doesn't go away in a few days or if the pain gets worse try to see a dermatologist.

♥♡♥ PAL/PGAL welcome♥♡♥This. I've had it before, I had thought it was a pimple or something. But it eventually went away.

Agreed! ((hugs))
I've had that before and I think it was a ingrown hair...so painful. I ended up putting hot compresses on it and it eventually went away. I actually covered it with a bandaid so my underwear wouldn't keep rubbing against it.
Def go to the dr if it would make you feel better!
Go to the doc! And thanks for the cupcake, that looks delicious!
This! I hope it's nothing but better safe than sorry. Gl hun!
