Amma maternity

I'm looking into taking classes through Amma maternity because that's what my midwives suggest (through HealthEast).  We're thinking about taking the 3 class combo.

It seems like quite a few of you have taken the classes through them and I was just wondering how they went/if you would recommend them?

We signed up for the one day preparing for childbirth and 4 hour (?) breastfeeding and baby care basics class, I believe it's option 5 in their Ready for Baby package. Our breastfeeding and baby care class ended up being the Saturday DS was in the NICU since he came early so we got a refund for that portion. As for the preparing for childbirth class, most of the information they talked about I already knew from all of my own research and asking my midwives. I found it to be most beneficial for DH, but I still enjoyed the class and it was nice to hear the questions/concerns from other parents. Amma was also recommended by my midwives and it 'fit' with the birth plan I had in mind. They have a nice set-up and I have recommended it to friends who have since taken classes there so I say go for it!

I love Amma!  Highly recommend them, especially the new mama class!

We took new baby basics and bf'ing class, and they were both good!

I like Amma and wish we did New Mama class there..its just too difficult with my school schedule. But we do baby story time and last Tues. we did baby weigh in and it was nice to talk to the consultant lady there
