Baby's first cold?

How long did your baby's first cold last?  My DD is still a little congested and her nose is running like crazy & she has a slight cough... It's been 10 days, I thought she would be better by now

The first one lasted about two weeks, and the second one has been going on for about two weeks now. I wouldn't worry too much if she hasn't gotten worse or been running a fever.

Colds are the worst! I feel so bad for my LO. If it went past two weeks, I was going to take her in to see if she had anything that needed treatment, but she had her 6 month appt at the beginning of her cold, then we took her in b/c she developed an eye infection, so she's been evaluated by two doctors. It wouldn't hurt to make an appt now, and cancel it if she gets better - I'm guessing an appt with her pedi would at least be a couple days out. Good luck and I hope your LO feels better soon.

Hmmm DS had a cold when he was about 5 months old. It lasted about a week and a half I think.

My niece who is only 8 days older than DS had a bad cold for about 2 weeks. She went to the pedi & there was nothing she could do for her. just had to wait it out.

Its so hard seeing LO like that. Feel so helpless. Hope your LO feels better soon!
