Really really wish I could take Tues off of work :-(

Christmas Eve we spent cleaning the house/doing laundry/running last minute errands/getting ready/off to a friend's house for Christmas Eve dinner & gifts about 40 min from home.  Got home late, my 6 1/2 yr old daughter was too filled with excitement to sleep until about 11pm and then we got to play Santa at about 11:30 once we were sure she was OUT.

Christmas chaos ensued when she woke at 7am (she normally sleeps 12 hours/night...was down to 8...uh oh already!).  The gifts, the putting together, the tearing down boxes, the straightening up...IMMEDIATELY followed by a quick breakfast, showers and out the door to p/u my MIL 1 1/2 hours away and then head to my SIL's house another 1/2 hr further past her.  We left the house at 12 and got home at 11pm (TG my daughter slept for 1 1/2 of the 2 hr drive home!).  Home, bed!

Up again today at 6:30 because I forgot to change my alarm to NOT go off today (it's set for "weekdays"), but laid in bed until 7:30.  Up, laundry, more straightening, bringing in gifts we'd left in the car last night, breakfast and we're all showering now - need to be out of here in 45 min to go see our nieces 1 1/4 hours away for lunch and then head to my parents immediately after that (in the same town, YAY!) for Christmas with them.  

I also have to find time to pack up my daughter, who will stay with them until Friday since she's off of school but I'm still working!  ...and I'll be sad to see her go with all of her new toys, etc under the tree just waiting for her!!!  

But in all seriousness, this holiday has kicked my azzzzzzz!!!!  I can't believe I have to rise & shine and be "ON" tomorrow for a day that will SURELY be absolute MAYHEM at my office being that we were closed on Monday (I work for a physician and run the front office, where all of the madness will hit the hardest).  

WAHHHHHHH...!!!!!  Next year we're having Christmas Day here for DH's family and I am absolutely taking off the day before AND the day after.  It's necessary!

wow. that's nuts! I feel bad now because I have a dr. appointment tomorrow morning. haha.

I'm at work today so... yeah. but it's actually kind of nice because it's quiet and I need the quiet right now. yesterday and saturday were insane.

I can't wait for next year when I don't have to save up every precious moment of leave time and I can take more time off with my boys over the holidays. I think that, along with, you know not being 8 months pregnant and all... will probably help me be a teeeensy bit more under control next year. ha!
