    Sorry for a crappy day. That really sucks. But IMO, your DH is being a major douche. Tell him to suck his balls and you go visit your family without him.

    He is being a jerk and this sounds deeper then an a miscommunication about Christmas presents.

    Leave his pouty, miserable butt at home to stew alone and not let him ruin the day you and the kids.

    That's awful.  Christmas can really bring out the worst in some people.

    I'd be tempted to leave on time whether he's ready or not.  Probably wouldn't actually do it, but I'd be damned tempted.
