Swollen Feet

Tonight my feet started to swell and throb after I'd been on them for hours and somebody said that that meant that the baby would be here soon. Has anyone else heard of this?

If this was true my baby would have a chance to be here soon for the past 2 months...If you are on your feet for hours and are pregnant you are pretty much guaranteed swollen feet.

It's probably affected by your diet too. More sodium rich foods = more swelling. I don't think it's necessarily indicative of impending labor.

Hahaha whoever told you this is either pulling your leg or has no clue what they're talking about. My feet have been swelling from being on my feet too much since September. I vote for making that person give you a foot massage!

Haha! I definitely didn't think so. You would think she didn't already have 3 kids from saying this! I just wanted to ask since I'm a FTM.

Mine started last night, too. Last pregnancy I had it for the whole last month or two. Just means you're retaining water and starting to swell...one of the joys of pregnancy.Be happy it waited this long to show up!

Yeah, whomever told you that doesn't really know what they are talking about.  I've had pools of liquid in my feet and legs for months and I am still pregnant. My swollen feet are routinely swollen the point that when you press your finger into my legs or feet, you can leave a dent that stays there for about five minutes.  I think its called pooling edema.  If it goes to your hands or face, that is not good, but having it in your feet is pretty common.

Mine started swelling yesterday too but I'm pretty sure that's because I was standing up on them baking all day.
