So after 2 days of being around family for the holidays our twin girls are crazy. We still have 3 days of stuff left and I need advice on how to keep them sane. They are 4 months (2 months adjusted), it seems like when big groups are over they just cry cry cry and then when the guests leave they get this high pitch painful cry but I can't find anything wrong with them. Day 1 was bad so I thought maybe they were held too much so Day 2 no one held them but my husband and I and they were in the cribs/seats alot but still they were crazy tonight after everyone left so I think it is the noise?
How did you all survive the holiday?
TIA
Re: Handling big groups and over stim. due to the holidays?
We opted out of most everything. People came to us and, even still, that was a lot. Mine were 2 weeks old their first Thanksgiving, we had only immediate family over and still DS screamed for hours because of MIL screaming in his face.
It sucks to miss out on some things, but, nothing is more important than my babies' schedule and them staying well rested. NOTHING. Because the people who are wanting you to ditch the routine the most are the ones that are nowhere to be found when there's fallout.
