Yes, it really does last that long. I would say the only thing, is that after a week or so, the shine that you have when you first get them done, is more dulled. But the color does stay and does not chip.
I got mine done the other day as well. I asked for the shellac nails and they called them "gel nails" and solar nails so I'm not sure if it's the exact same thing. He said they would last 3 weeks. Lots of UVlight drying between coats. 3 days later they look fantastic even after cooking/cleaning up from Xmas dinner Hope they last!
PS - how are you feeling? Did you get confirmation on your early gender result? So exciting
I got them a few weeks ago and they definitely lasted. It was sort of like old-school tips - they grew out in the back and lifted there between 2-3 weeks, but they never chipped in the front. I definitely recommend going and getting the soak to have them removed. I didn't and my nails are so thin and peely from where I peeled the gel off.
