Different Dr than usual, mine is on vaca....

I went ahead an had the internal, out of curiousity to see if I am progressing at all. I have had 0 dilation.. yup zero. capital Z.

however, i am about 50% effaced. When I asked about it, the dr said...

"Actually, I like this kind of progress because you cant really dialate until you start to efface. And women who efface and soften now tend to dialate quickly during labor so labor can be faster and easier for you."

So, Dilation now wouldnt matter anyway, but softening and effacing is a great sign? "Yup."
