First off, I'm not looking for a debate or a warning about walkers.

Now, I'm looking into buying one for DS. 

However, we have carpet throughout the house, except for our tiny kitchen.

Reccomend your walker!

Does it work well on carpet floors?

We have one that we got at Wal-mart. She loves it and an walk on the carpet. I'd say we have medium...pile? Is that what's it called? Anywho she's had it for about 5 months and hasn't died. It works well outside on the porch and driveway in the summer.

We have the Chicco DJ Sea Dreams walker. She has only used it on wood, so I can't vouch for it's carpet abilities.

We have a baby trend one (I think?) that my aunt said ds "needed."  It works better on our hardwood and laminate flooring, but it does work on carpeting (just not as easily).

I have the Baby Trend one with teddy bears. DS loves it because he can chase his brother. We don't have any carpet so I don't know how it would work.

I have the Baby Trend one with the teddy bears too. I saw it today at BRU for $39.99 and bought it from a shop called Kid to Kid (like consignment) for $15.99. DD loves it, we have a very long pile carpet and she gets a little frustrated but then she is just getting used to it. I think it could work on carpet but it's not as easy.

Im not sure what the name is but ours is pink and we got it from wal-mart. She has no problem going from tiles to carpet, to rugs. Even works great on rugs with different heights variations for design. Aside from being very inexpensive, the toy portion of the tray comes off for easy cleaning and sanitizing

This is what we have as well.  He loves running around the kitchen in it.  I've never put him on the carpet in it, though.
