They explain it better than I could, but basically it is a calculation that takes several pre-labor factors (cervix condition, baby station, etc) and gives a score than indicates how favorable you are for induction.
With my first, I had a very unfavorable Bishop's score and was induced anyway, no surprise that it ended in a c-section.

I hadn't heard of it but I calculated mine from baby #1. I had an extremely low score 1-2. Was induced at 41 weeks (many high risk factors) and had the easiest best induction and delivery ever! Start to finish 8+ hours and minimal pain (yes, I had an epidural).
