My left nipple has been stinging & burning a bit during nursing. Almost like I have a cut & the saliva is burning it. Nipple is a little red, but no other pain. Could this be thrush??? What do I do if it is?

Go to your pharmacist...They should be able to give you something (I can't remember what's it called......jensen violet? You put it on your nipple and in her mouth. Look in Lydia's mouth for white spots. Not like the milk film:)
I've had thrush twice (once with Jake and already once with Luke)...and it was my understanding that if you have thrush, you'd feel it in both breasts/nipples. To me, thrush hurts when nursing and randomly throughout the day...like I'm being stabbed by little shards of glass. My guess would be that you don't have thrush, but maybe just a trauma from a bad latch or two?? BUT, any sort of opening can lead to thrush so be careful. Check LO's mouth for white, cottage cheesyness and go grab some acidophilus just to get ahead of the game. I'm so sorry- nursing pain is the worst!!!
